I know it's been a while...
So here it goes...

As most of you have now found out, I auditioned for the 3rd season of "America's Got Talent." And I have passed the first round and will be on the Vegas rounds. People have asked me why did I take the risk of being torn down by three judges and a rabid crowd, having everything that I have worked for torn apart. As my mother told me many times you sometimes have to take risks to achieve your goals, this was the chance I felt I should take. What ever happens, it's a ride America will not soon forget.

This is really all I can say on this topic.

On a topic I can go into, Library Shows. Library tour started on June 20th with two shows in Kern County, Ridgecrest and Lake Isabella Branches. I feel the shows went very well. Ridgecrest had a really big turn out, was stunned how many people where there right when the library opened. Show went smooth except the "Houdini Chain Escape" I just kept having problems with instructing the volunteer how to attach the padlock to the chain, I think that's why I replaced it with a different stunt when I left to Fresno. Lake Isabella was a really great drive, really makes me wish I had a motorcycle again, this would be the place to take a leisurely ride. Before the show I did an interview for the local paper it went well. (Kern Valley Sun) The show itself was very good. I then took my wife out to eat, since I would be leaving early Monday to start the Fresno part of the tour and would not see her till the 5th of July. I sure do love "The Prime Cut."

Sunday I made sure everything was ready. Printed up all the maps and made sure I had enough nails and balloons for my new stunt I was bring on this tour.

I'm not going to boar you about what happened at every show, all I can say is Fresno had some great turn outs and at places I have had problems, this time they turned into some of my favorite shows. Some of the response from my volunteers and the audience I think is what made that week so great. I was eating a "Night Crawler" and this voice in the back says, "He's a real man, he eats bugs." Never thought that is what makes the deferent's between a boy and a man, now I know. I also got to do a news segment while I was there at KSEE24 Sunrise News. All in all Fresno was great and I want to thank all that came to the shows, and all that helped support the show. (Mainly my brother who let me stay at his new home the whole week.)

I also did a show at Full Circle Brewery that Saturday Night, the crowed wasn't huge, but the reactions were. I think all that came, felt they had a great time. And I hope I'm invited back. (By the way if you love root beer, you got to go to this place. There's is really top notch)

The next week I found myself in lovely Modesto. Shows seemed A little harder to get the audience into it, but once they started to get into it, they were great crowds. Can't wait to go back with some new stuff.

In fact I am starting to work on a new act aimed at the younger set, a flea circus. That's right hopefully by next year you will see Professor G's Giant Flea circus in your town. See these mighty creatures lift objects that would crush others there size, and see mighty "Tommy Flea" get fired from a cannon into a water bowl on the other side of the room.

Well that's the update for now, watch "America's Got Talent" on NBC and see what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Well Friday October 21, 2005 I performed at the Empire Amusement Hall in Hollywood California. (Like you don’t know where Hollywood is.) Empire Amusement Hall is a very small theater with around48 seats. But it has a great feel to the space. I performed 2 sets, one at 8pmand the second at 10pm. (the first show Bridgette Fonda and Danny Elfman attended.) I debuted 2 new stunts at the show, the 1st one I do not feel went as well as it should (light house), but the 2nd went off with out a scratch except the strong odor of gunpowder that was left after the stunt (firecrackers on the chest).

Crazy straw went as well as ever, I don’t know why people love it so, (yes I do, it’s sick and twisted) Eye lift was received well, and most of the rest of the stunts went off with out a problem.

I’m hoping to be back at the Empire in the next few months to shoot some video and do a photo shoot as well.

Thanks to all that came to the show you made it awesome to perform.

On Friday, October 21, 2005 the villagers will be sharpening there pitch forks and preparing there torches to head out to the Empire Amusement Hall, located at 6470 Santa Monica Boulevard. And why are they doing this? To attend the “Giant” Grand Opening, of the Empire Amusement Hall of course.

The “Giant” Opening will be featuring actor, author, world-record holder, and performer George the Giant.

Show times are at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. admission is only $15. And what it sounds like, both 90-minute shows will be different. George “The Giant” says he has some new “ideas” that will be introduced at the Grand Opening. The Giant also states the late show will be a bang up experience.

I was going over my last entry and realized I forgot to thank John Whille. Without John I could not have done the stunt, because he is the one who made 90% of the bed that was used. I was so logged down with work and getting the stunt organized I had enough time to give him directions on what I wanted and drill a few holes myself. I gave ideas on how to make the bed pleasing to the eye and make it stand out, but when it came down to it, that bed would not exist without John. So I wanted to thank him so everyone knows he tried to kill me with that monstrosity.

I also want to thank the Blitz organization for all that they did for this stunt. Sorry guys for all the calls, but hey it wouldn’t have turned out half as good if I didn’t.

The People have spoken, and I am listening. Many people have complained that my web site is way behind, and you're right. My Webmaster has become a brand new dad, and during that process he got so busy he could not update any of my pictures or the calendar. Hopefully this will be taken care of.

I’m going to try to give you an update of what has happened since the last time I updated this blog. First item, On July 15, 2005 At Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, CA during the half- time show of the Bakersfield Blitz Game, George “the Giant” McArthur beat the current world record for most bricks on a bed of nails of 21 bricks at 777 lbs, I the Giant did 37 bricks at 1163 lbs. We also modified the bed of nails used; we made the spacing jump from two inches to three inches. I only wore a t-shirt and not a karate gee which is made of thick canvas. Now all I have to do is gather all the pictures, video, and affidavits and send them to London to get verified, and then I will be a world record holder, YEAH!

I also did a set of Library shows in Modesto, we only did five, but I am sure we will do more next year. The kids were awesome they cheered, they screamed, they laughed, and they learned about something that I love...... Sideshow. And we won’t mention the adults (The lady in blue who buried her face in her nine year olds back).

Also In September’s issue of VOGUE magazine I should be in it. After doing a private party, I drove as fast as possible to the airport (had 30 minutes to spare) flew to New York, did a 13 hour photo session, slept for three hours, jumped back on a plane and flew back to Bakersfield, and two hours after I arrived I did a 12 hour shift at my real job. I hope they use that one picture they took.

I want to thank all the people who helped me break the world record for most bricks/weight on a bed of nails, especially my sponsors; Ross Chiropractic Clinic Inc, OneBakersfield.com, The Prime Cut, Craig & Marci Nevill, Home Depot, and the one who made the event picture perfect, Mike Linkins at Photos Now.

It's been awhile since I last checked in, well I and my new partner Malaki did the Fresno County Library System for the second year, everything ran fairly smoothly. (glad we got rid of the bugs, last few away gigs kept waking up to "worm sickles,") It seemed everyone liked the stunts that we replaced the bugs with ( "Bed of Blade" with a jump at the end. And the new and improved "living Crazy Straw"). I also did a show here in Bakersfield at the Dinner Theater, I have never had so many restrictions placed on me in my life, but it to went surprisingly well.
Just did some shows with the pickled brothers and how can I say this ............ They are really cool, but there partner for this venture that I was part of, well lets say it was an adventure. I think that's all I can say.
I'm doing the Long Beach Celtic Music Festival Sat Aug 14, 2004. I think it will be as good if not better than last years, though it looks like Malaki won"t be there. (Something about a real Job, slacker what happened about starving for your art.)
Well hopefully it wont take me so long to post.
Till next time

Well, just did my first set of library shows. I wasn't sure if the kids would really enjoy a show on the history of the side show. But most of the kids and parents seemed to enjoy it, well except the one girl who said the glass wasn't pointy enough. Wish she would have been at the last two shows, I ended up with a nice puncher wound when I was jumping on the glass. I can now sell my tarp as abstract art. Other than that, the shows were a success. It looks like I might be asked back next year if the state budget lets them.
Now I'm in the process of getting everything ready for the upside down escape on Saturday for the Bakersfield Blitz.
